CHOFU started operation in 1954 as a manufacturer of agricultural machinery. After the development of kerosene-fired burners for drying grain, we shifted course into the field of residential appliances with focus on oil-fired water heaters. Since then, our goal has been to produce "a comfortable lifestyle with abundant hot water." As a result, we have been producing water heaters powered by various energy source, such as oil, gas, electricity, and solar energy.
We have grown to hold the top share in the field of oil-fired water heaters, and are now a manufacturer of household equipment that offers a comprehensive line of products including bathroom and kitchen appliances, air conditioning, and heating systems.

Our products have a great relevance to modern society tackling issues relating to environmental protection and energy. There is an increasing demand for a higher level of energy conservation and efficiency in our water heaters and air conditioning systems. By responding to these demands, we contribute to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption, and thus meet the needs of the entire society.
